On-Line Tutorials
Each semester will contain a once a
month on-line seminar with Bernadette Brady. Follow
this link
for more information. |
Special note: This diploma is for those astrologers who are working
with other people's charts, either professionally or for friends and
Bernadette expects that you already have the skill of delineating a natal
chart.
Who can enrol?
The course is open to all astrologers who have a
basic, standard astrological background achieved after the first two
years of study. Since all student's come under the personal tuition of Bernadette Brady, you will
need to apply via the Requests for Admission
on-line form.
Bernadette will wish to know your astrological background. There is no
pre-enrolment assessment for this Diploma. Please be aware that if you
have no formal qualifications in astrology you may be requested to submit a
assessment paper before you are admitted to the diploma - here is an example of
the type of assessment that
you may be sent.
The
Fixed Star Diploma
... is an accrediting
diploma
designed to teach you how to work with the fixed stars and visual
astrology using the original methods employed by astrologers before the
days of Ptolemy. You will be taught how to weave these techniques with the
natal chart to give a deeper understanding of planetary aspects and
combinations.
The Design of the
Course
The course consists of
three semesters. The first two are presented on four CDs containing over 22 hours of lectures and
supporting material. The course is centred around the books, Bradys Book of Fixed Stars,
and Star and Planet Combinations both by Bernadette Brady and the software
Starlight developed to fulfil the need
for a software application that worked with the stars in the manner described
in Brady's work.
Each semester will also include a once a month
on-line seminary in fixed star and visual
astrology. This will be scheduled for a Sunday afternoon - GMT
- thus making it early morning in the USA and late in the evening for
Australia. The seminar will be for tow hours and contain additional
material to that supplied in the lecture CDs and is a vital part of the
diploma. These seminars will be conducted in Cloudmeeting, a full video
conferencing package that Astro Logos subscribes to and will provide you
with a special key for your use. For more information about this system
The
First Semester topics include: Introduction, Star Phases and their meaning
in the natal chart. Understanding parans. Star myths and meaning of the
zodiac signs. Working with stars that bring frame. Working with natal
charts.
The Second
Semester topics include: a detailed investigation of the stars that
indicate mysticism, sacrifice, difficulties, joy, dignity, reliability,
adventure and learning. The final lectures are devoted to fixed stars in
mundane astrology.
The Third
Semester is focused on Visual Astrology. The materials are lectures from
the visual astrology conferences and articles from the Visual Astrology
Newsletter.

Student's will attend an on-line seminar once a month via their desk top
computer (this needs to be a PC) as well as students are expected to visit
and contribute to the Astro Logos student forum (only assessable via the
